There is now widespread acknowledgement that diversity strengthens research environments — to create a fairer, more equitable culture in which people from all backgrounds have genuine opportunity to thrive. But the growing attention paid to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) has not yet translated into the scale or pace of change needed to unlock research careers for many people from groups under-represented in the sector. In this Research Professional News webinar, leading experts and advocates to examine what funders, institutions and individuals at all levels in the sector can do to speed the pace of change.

Examples include DEI initiatives that have made a positive difference, what measures might be counterproductive, and specific issues that need to be addressed to really shift the dial on one of the most pressing challenges facing the research community today.
